Currently in Caldwell hall, we have the different countries introducing themselves to the rest of the countries. Debating and discussing will take place – each country publicly speaking about things regarding their country that are revolving around the key subject of sustainability. COP this year has been focusing on four different areas: energy, ocean, forest & food and cities. The different countries then decide which factor they would prefer and go to educate themselves about it.
Nursery
Here with the nursery children at 09.30, we have the smallest children in the school, experimenting how to make dirty water become clean water. They were split into 3 stations, where each one had trays filled with water containing fillings, such as leaves, wood, rocks and mud – making it unclean. Their task is to figure out a way to filter this water out by using equipment, such as sieves or buckets. This enables their young minds to think for themselves, in terms of sustainability. We also have a fourth station where the skill of teamwork is shown when the kids attempt to build a model bridge where the water flows
